Graduating from the University of Manchester in 1983 and having worked in general practice for nearly 25 years now, Jeremy opened The Dental Team in 1991. He has developed a clinical team that can offer the widest range of affordable dental treatment available.
Specialising in treatment under intravenous sedation as well as crown and bridge work, Jeremy has gained a reputation for ensuring that patients leave the Practice looking forward to future visits!
Jeremy is the official dentist for Lancashire County Cricket Club.
Alison Whitehead
Dental Hygienist
After working as a Dental Surgery Assistant in general practice, in 1981 Alison achieved her ambition to join the Women's Royal Naval Service.
In 1984 she 'passed out' of the Royal Naval Dental Training School as a Dental Hygienist.
After working at numerous Naval Bases Alison had the opportunity to take part in a Royal Naval Exchange Programme in Australia.
After a career break to bring up her family she returned to the dental world via an Orthodontic Practice, joining The Dental Team in 2001 where Alison now enjoys working full time.

Karen and Tracy are essential members of the Dental Team. They ensure that appointments for check-ups and treatments are made at the most convenient time for yourself and your family. They will also be able to help you keep up to date with the cost of your dental treatment.
Our dental nurses
Pam, Ann, Sharon and Sarah play a vital role in making sure that the dentists, hygienist and oral surgeon have properly equipped surgeries and sterile instruments for all our patients.
And they love chatting to you during your treatment!
Viraj Patel
BDS (Bangalore)
Dental Surgeon
Viraj qualified in 1996 and has extensive experience as both a practitioner and as a lecturer. With a specialist interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery, he brings to the Practice a wealth of knowledge gained from both large teaching hospitals and smaller clinics.
Viraj is very keen to develop ‘smile design’ for our patients – helping them achieve a confident smile through a wide range of aesthetic treatments.
Sandra Glass
Oral Surgeon
Sandra qualified from Trinity College in Dublin in 1986. After working
in general dental practice for a year she decided to go back into
hospital - based dentistry.
Having continued to work for over ten years at several Oral Surgery Departments
in the Manchester area including the Manchester Royal Infirmary, North Manchester
General Hospital and Tameside General Hospital, Sandra continues to offer a
specialist oral surgery service to
a number of general dental practices.
Her surgical expertise includes a wide range of dentistry including the extraction of impacted wisdom teeth and apicectomies. These treatments can be done with intravenous sedation for nervous patients.
